In November of 2020, the Boston Celtics announced a multi-year deal designating VistaPrint as the team’s Exclusive Marketing and Design Partner. As part of this partnership, the VistaPrint logo would appear on all of the Celtics’ gameday jerseys.
Over the course of our partnership, we were able to design some unique logo patches, in-arena signage, and more.

For the 2022–23 season, the Celtics introduced a Bill Russell themed uniform that payed homage to one of the greatest basketball players of all time. Russell passed away in the summer of 2022 but his legacy not only as a player but as one of the most respected people in sports history still rings true today. Because the uniform holds all sorts of tributes to Russell, we pitched some specialty VistaPrint patches to match but did not get NBA approval. A reworked design of the standard patch was used.


One of the biggest initiatives we launched with the Celtics was the Small Business of the Game. A small business local to the New England area was honored at each home game with custom digital courtside signage, a shoutout on the Celtics’ socials, and a moment during the game where the owner was recognized on the court and given their own Celtics jersey.





Our VistaPrint-branded LED ads evolved over the years, but the message always remained the same: we were there when small businesses needed us.







Additional design work for the Boston Celtics included a yearbook ad, signage, giveaways at the 2024 All-Star Game in Indianapolis, and a Christmas card sent to all season ticket holders, featuring Lucky reimagined as a nutcracker. It was always fun to see our patch out in the wild, especially in the NBA 2K series.





Our partnership with the Celtics ended on a high note as they were able to win their 18th NBA championship to cap off the 2023–24 season. We repurposed our jersey patch as a commemorative sticker to give away during the championship parade.
